Huge thanks to Ross who helped me pass my driving test first time in Mulhuddart!Ross was patient, made things simple, and gave me the confidence I needed to pass my test - would recommend InGear to anyone starting lessons or looking for a pretest!

My instructor is Catherine Mooney, she is very friendly, knowledgeable and patient . During my lessons with her are good, she guided me, corrected some of my bad habits in driving and encouraging.

My names Sean,I’ve just completed my 12 driving lessons with Paul in ingear. From the minute we met until now he made me comfortable, relaxed and gave me all off his time and patience with teaching me things. He had huge belief in me and put confidence into me which helped me drive so much better. Not only have I used ingear but my partner did too and she passed first time with their help. They didn’t get driving school 2024 off the year for nothing, Paul takes great pride in his teaching and in his driving school and all the help he and his other drivers give is phenomenal. I cannot recommend lessons with John enough. I started out as a really nervous neurodivergent driver and through my Essential Driver Training, I gained a really great grasp of the fundamentals of driving which helped me build my confidence on the road. The pre-test with John was also excellent and it helped me pass the first time. John's teaching and tips will stand to me well beyond my test and will help me be a safe and careful driver well in the future. Thanks again!

Hi there, I am Lorena ( Blanchardstown) and Instructor Catherine from "In Gear "and I went for a one-hour drive. I wanted to do a one-hour drive, which is more like a pre-test, while I wait for my test date (still on the waiting list). Kind and thorough, Catherine described everything (sigs, roundabouts, my road observation, car, etc.) as I felt I had 12 h lessons in one and I wanted to express my gratitude for that, much appreciated. I know and it is a fact for all that a learner`s confidence and driving ability are greatly impacted by the direction and guidance of a good driving instructor. James has been a fantastic instructor, super patient, encouraging, and diligent in providing feedback. Every lesson he would write down areas of improvement/mistakes/etc so I knew what to practice on my own. Thanks to him I got my license last week and couldn't be happier!

So I passed my test today after the first attempt and I have to say I wouldn't have passed without the help, professionalism and direction from my instructor James. i passed my test today at raheny test centre having completed all of my edt lessons with John from in gear driving school.I also did numerous pre pest lessons with him also that were essential to my success .I am delighted to have achieved my goal today .many thanksoleboge .

I would highly recommend Joe from IN GEAR, without his help I definitely would not have passed my test in Carlow today. Joe has always been patient with me he’s had to repeat the same things over and over again until I got it right, he’s helped me gain the confidence I needed and never made me feel stupid for the mistakes Ive made. I’ve always been a nervous driver but Joe never failed to put a smile on my face even after stressful situations.Thank you very much Joe I will forever be grateful for the time and patience you’ve invested in me 🙂

I had a great learning experience with John. The pre-test session with him was incredibly helpful and played a key role in helping me pass the test on my first attempt.

I had no previous driving experience and I was so nervous starting but my instructor Norah made the whole process so easy. She was so helpful and calm and explained everything very well, I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor ! I feel after my 12 lessons my driving has improved so much. I Will be booking a pre test for sure with In gear. 10/10 experience.

I had John as an Instructor for my lessons, he is honestly one of the best teachers/instructors I have ever had. As a sports instructor myself he is a real inspiration for me to strive towards and be as amazing as he was for me.I also did a Pre-test lesson with John a few days before my test which was one of the best things I could have done, it really prepared me for the test and got me into the mindset of passing. It was also my first try and I passed!So I highly recommend getting and extra Pre-test lesson and John if you are driving automatic

Passed my test in first attempt at Raheny on 16 Oct 2024 at 8.25 am. I highly recommend John he is excellent instructor. I took my lessons and pretest and he was great in correcting my faults.I passed my test with only 2 faults.John made sure I was prepared and confident to take the driving test. I was initially quite hesitant to begin my driving lessons, but I’ve found In Gear to be fantastic at helping me become a better driver and more confident on the road. Paul is a joy to learn from, giving constructive advice and being passionate towards the betterment of my driving. His passion and attentiveness have helped me build a positive mindset and approach to the road, and I couldn’t recommend In Gear more. I now feel confident in my ability to pass my drivers test and feel like this experience has definitely been worthwhile.

At 36 I almost gave up on driving but decided to give it another shot. After finding few instructors elsewhere that didn’t work, I then met Jimmy at In Gear who made me more comfortable behind the wheel and a much better driver which resulted in a first time pass. Not only is Jimmy a great instructor but also a great person which makes the 2hr lessons much more easier and enjoyable. I fully recommend In Gear and Jimmy specifically if you are looking for a first time pass in the Dublin area. 5*

Passed my test on the first attempt with John! Excellent instructor, great for making lessons work for me in both time and content. Patient and experienced. Did 2 pretests with him in the run up, which I believe were key to my pass mark! Cannot recommend enough! Remember, huxi!

Delighted I have passed my test with In Gear this week! My instructor was Paul, and I can’t recommend him highly enough! Paul was very attentive, dedicated, and clearly passionate about teaching his students how to drive, not only pass the test. Paul explained all the concepts to me over and over whenever I needed a reminder, made a mistake, or had a question. If you are looking for a patient instructor that will teach you how to drive, go to Paul. Make sure you book way in advance too!

I had a fantastic experience with IN GEAR Driving School, thanks to my instructor Mark. He made learning the rules and regulations of Irish roads easy to understand, and his focus on driving safely gave me the confidence I needed. Mark is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor, which made the lessons both informative and enjoyable. He was also flexible and quick to schedule my lessons, ensuring I was well-prepared. Thanks to his expert guidance and useful tips, I passed my driving test on the first try!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I switched to In Gear driving school after several lessons and I am glad I did. Sean was an absolutely fantastic instructor. Very patient and supportive, after 4 2 hour sessions I felt more than ready for my test and passed the first time. I cannot recommend InGear enough.

I passed my test today in Killester and it would not have been possible without Ross. When I met him a year ago I had no clue about cars and I was absolutely petrified of driving. At times I really struggled and even thought about throwing the towel in.Ross was so friendly, calm, extremely patient, explained everything clearly and helped build my confidence. When I started with In Gear in July of this year I was a really nervous driver and I had my manual driving test in two months’ time. Two days ago I passed my driving test first time, and I owe a massive amount of my success to James and his person-centred approach to teaching. The lessons felt tailored specifically to what I needed to improve on rather than an impersonal cookie cutter template. My instructor never made me feel incompetent as a driver, and he instilled a level of confidence in my driving that really helped me when I sat the driving test.I had no access to a car between lessons but I was directed towards many helpful resources and methods to improve my chances of succeeding in the driving test, such as online resources and visualisation methods. These made me more familiar with the test routes and the controls of the car and were a huge help between lessons.Overall I had a great experience learning with In Gear and am now a much more confident and skilled driver. I would highly recommend doing lessons with In Gear.

Catherine, my driving instructor, has been amazing. She has been outstanding in pointing out my mistakes and has been very supportive and patient with me throughout my lessons. I have the utmost confidence in my ability to pass my test thanks to her. I recommend everyone striving to get their license to use In Gear Driving School.

After putting off the driving test for three years, I did a few refresher lessons with Joyce. Joyce completely put me at ease in the car and for the first time I felt confident on the road. I passed my test first time in August and I could not have done this without Joyce’s help and encouragement every step of the way

Couldn't recommend Joyce from In Gear enough!After putting off driving for so long I met Joyce in July a nervous wreck! She wasted no time getting me on the road and used to controlling a vehicle and by lesson 3 I was flying. The remainder of the lessons we improved on my weaknesses together and did a lot of test preparation!I passed first time this morning in Tallaght, all down to Joyce and her teaching! Relieved to have passed my test today. Massive thank you to Jimmy at In Gear. Did my EDT lessons with Jimmy, and he was very clear and patient. Then did some pre tests with him where he was very precise and clear with advice and instructions. He also gave me some tips on difficult junctions that may be on the route. They were!! So thanks again.

Very happy with my lessons. Did them with John. He was very knowledgeable with great humour that put my worries from first time driving at ease, alongside neat tips with driving safely. Would definitely recommend this.

I would highly recommend In Gear Driving School to anyone that needs to learn how to drive. I always thought I was too old to learn at 36, as I gave up at 18 when I couldn’t get the hang of it. When I got on to In Gear I was put in touch with Ross, who couldn’t have been a better teacher. Ross was beyond excellent, always so patient with a very nervous student (me) and full of encouragement. He’s also good craic so I looked forward to every lesson. Thanks to Ross’ fantastic teaching style and confidence boosting pep talks, I passed the test on my first go. Couldn’t recommend In Gear (and especially Ross!) more!

Only beginning to drive in my 30s, I wasnt sure which driving school to use. From sending the email query on a Sunday to having a phone call from my instructor Catherine the same day, my impression of IN Gear keeps getting better and better. I've an exceptional instructor in Catherine. She's super knowledgeable, patient and kind. A great teacher, making everything as simple as possible with great explanations. Delighted with the quick progress I've made and with half the lessons still to come. I look forward to them each time. I'd recommend Catherine and IN Gear to anyone looking to learn to drive. I did my lessons and pretests with Ross. He was such a good teacher and made me feel so comfortable driving. He was always in great form and made my lessons fun. I was nervous learning to drive and he made me feel confident and ready for my test. Would 10/10 recommend.

James is an amazing instructor! He took me from being a terrible driver and hating driving to passing my test in ~15 hours. He broke down exactly what was needed to pass and knew the routes inside out, and what to watch out for. Ultimately, he tries really hard to help every trainee driver, and cares that they pass and enjoy driving and you cant ask for more.

I have done all my 12 EDT lessons with Ross and I have to say he is the best driving instructor out there and can’t recommend him enough to others, I have done pretest lessons with him after completing all my lessons and have passed my test the first time thanks to Ross and his good style of teaching!
